This website

https://fishmasterslive.com is published by Digital Fish Solutions LLC as free, informational content. There are no accounts, logins, forms or transactions on this site.

The fishing guides here are provided as general information. They reflect our best understanding of the fisheries described, but conditions change, fish move, and what worked last season may not work this one. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of results.

Fishing regulations are your responsibility. Seasons, licences, size limits, slot limits, bag limits, gear restrictions and access rules are set by state, provincial and federal authorities. They vary by water body, and they change — sometimes mid-season by emergency action.

We deliberately do not publish limits or seasons anywhere on this site, because a stale number is worse than no number. Always confirm the current rules with the relevant fish and wildlife agency before you fish.

Safety

Fishing carries real risk, and some of the fishing described on this site carries more than most. Our guides discuss ice fishing, large open water, cold-water immersion, remote travel and wildlife.

  • Ice is never guaranteed safe. Thickness varies within a single lake, and current, springs, snow cover and pressure ridges all reduce it. No agency certifies ice. Check local conditions the day you go.
  • Large water builds fast. Conditions on the Great Lakes, Green Bay, Lake Erie and coastal water can change within an hour.
  • Remote fishing is remote. Some waters described here have no services, no cell coverage and no quick way out.

You are responsible for assessing conditions and your own capability. Digital Fish Solutions LLC accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from decisions made in reliance on this site.

Tournaments and fair play

Tournaments in the Fish Masters Live app are free to enter. We do not currently charge entry fees or award cash or prizes. If that changes, separate rules will be published for those tournaments before they run.

By entering a catch into a tournament you confirm that:

  • You caught the fish yourself.
  • You caught it during the tournament window, and — where a tournament has a geographic boundary — inside that boundary.
  • The photograph is of that fish, taken at the time of that catch, and has not been edited, staged or reused.
  • The measurement reflects the fish as caught, and was not obtained by misrepresenting scale or the surface the fish is lying on.
  • The species you selected is the species you caught, to the best of your knowledge.

The following will result in an entry being removed and may result in restrictions on your account: submitting a fish you did not catch, reusing or altering an image, deliberately falsifying a measurement, entering a fish caught outside a tournament's window or boundary, or operating more than one account to enter the same tournament.

We expect anglers to follow all applicable fishing regulations and to handle and release fish responsibly. Nothing in any tournament format requires you to keep a fish.

Your catches and your content

You keep ownership of the photographs and other content you submit. We do not claim to own it, and you remain free to use it however you like, anywhere else.

What you give us is a licence to use it. By submitting content to the Service, you grant Digital Fish Solutions LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, crop, resize, adapt and publicly display that content:

  • To run the Service — showing your catch to other anglers in a tournament you entered, in the public activity feed, on leaderboards and species records, and in your own profile and fishing log.
  • To promote the Service — including on our website, in social media posts, in app store listings, in press materials, and in paid advertising, in any media now known or later developed.

Name and likeness. Where you or another person appears in content you submit, you also grant us permission to use that appearance, and your username, in the promotional uses described above. You confirm that you have the permission of anyone else who appears in the content to grant this.

What we will do in practice. When we feature a catch, we credit the angler by username wherever the format reasonably allows it. We do not sell your content to anyone else, and we do not license it out for someone else's marketing.

If you would rather we did not. Email support@fishmasterslive.com and we will stop using your content promotionally and remove it from anything we still control. We will always honour that request. Advertising or printed material already produced and distributed before your request cannot always be recalled, and the licence remains in force for those existing materials only.

Otherwise, the licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where a copy must be retained as part of a moderation record.

Remember that catches are public. A catch entered into a tournament is visible to every other angler in it, including its photograph, measurement, species, time and location. See our Privacy Policy.

Moderation and account restrictions

Leaderboards only mean something if the entries on them are honest. To keep them honest, our moderators may:

  • Adjust a measurement where the recorded extent of a fish is visibly wrong. Once a measurement has been confirmed by a moderator it is locked from further editing.
  • Release an entry from scoring, so it remains in your log but no longer counts toward a tournament.
  • Disqualify an entry where we believe it breaches the fair-play rules above. Disqualified entries are marked as such to other anglers in that tournament, and you will be notified.
  • Restrict or close an account in cases of repeated or deliberate breaches, harassment of other users, or abuse of the reporting system.

Any angler can report an entry they believe is wrong. Reports are reviewed by a person, not automatically actioned, and reporting an entry in bad faith is itself a breach of these terms.

Moderation decisions are recorded permanently. If you think a decision about your catch was wrong, email support@fishmasterslive.com with your username and the approximate date and time of the catch, and we will review it against that record. We would rather correct a bad call than defend it.

Community conduct

The app includes public profiles, comments, reactions and a shared activity feed. Do not post content that harasses or threatens another person, is obscene or hateful, impersonates someone else, or is unlawful. Do not use the Service to advertise or to scrape other users' data. We may remove content and restrict accounts on these grounds.
