A mobile fishing tournament app. You photograph a fish laid flat, the app measures its length from the scene and identifies the species on-device, and the catch becomes a verified entry on a live leaderboard. Tournaments run weekly across all 50 states and Canada, and everything is catch-and-release.

Yes. The app is free to download and free to compete in. Optional subscription tiers unlock extras — see the subscription section below. Subscriptions are sold only through the App Store, never on this website.

iOS. An Android version is in development and the Google Play badge on this site will go live the day it ships. The most precise measurement uses the LiDAR sensor found on Pro-model iPhones, but the app measures from the image on any supported device.

No. Bank anglers, kayakers, waders and pier fishermen compete on exactly the same leaderboards as everyone else. Because scoring is on length rather than weight, there is nothing a boat gives you that the format requires.

Not to log a fish. Species detection runs entirely on your phone. If you are out of service, the catch is saved as a pending draft with the image and all its data, and uploads automatically in the background once you reconnect.

On LiDAR-equipped iPhones the app uses ARKit plane detection to measure against the real surface the fish is on, and it will not let you capture until all four measurement points sit on the same plane within about 1.5 centimetres. Accuracy in practice comes down to technique — a fish laid flat, mouth closed, tail squared, photographed from directly above.

Yes. After capture you can drag the four corners of the measurement box to match the true extent of the fish before you confirm. Nothing is submitted until you approve it.

The measurement comes from the scene rather than from a number the angler types in, and the species is identified from the same photo on-device. Beyond that, every submission is visible to every other angler in the tournament, anyone can report one, and moderators can adjust a measurement, remove a submission from scoring, or disqualify it. Moderation actions are logged permanently.

A moderator reviews the image and the measurement. They can confirm it as-is, adjust the measurement box, release it from scoring, or disqualify it. If a submission is disqualified you are notified, and other anglers in the tournament see a disqualified badge on it. Once a moderator has confirmed a measurement, it is locked from further edits.

Because weight requires a scale, and a scale requires keeping the fish out of the water. Length can be verified from a photo, which means the fish is back in the water in seconds. It is the decision that makes a nationwide catch-and-release tournament possible at all.

Weekly. Standard tournaments run Monday through Sunday, so there is always something active and always something opening.

A Weekly Bags tournament counts your best five fish of the target species, totalled by length. Once your bag is full, a bigger fish automatically replaces — culls — your smallest. The culled fish is marked released rather than deleted, and you earn a bonus toward your XP for it.

Free accounts are limited to one active tournament at a time, with a monthly cap on standard tournament joins. Paid tiers remove both limits.

Yes, on a paid tier. You set the title, format, species, date range and bag limit, and can attach a geographic boundary — a country, a state, a circle, a rectangle, or a polygon you draw yourself. Invite people from your followers list or share a link.

They earn you XP toward your rank, but they do not contribute to the seasonal or annual species leaderboards. Only standard tournaments do, which keeps the public boards comparable.

By tournament placement — 300 points for first, 200 for second, 100 for third, 20 for fourth through tenth, and 10 for everyone else. Those points roll into seasonal and annual standings by species.

Junior adds unlimited concurrent tournaments, offline mode and custom tournament creation. Pro adds everything in Junior plus your full personal fishing log, log notes, weather data on every catch, catch images, fishing detail tracking, weight estimates and a 2x XP multiplier.

By choice. Subscriptions are sold exclusively through the App Store and, when Android launches, Google Play. It keeps billing, refunds and cancellation entirely inside the platform you already trust, and it means this site never has to handle your payment details.

When a free trial offer is available on your account, the subscription screen in the app shows it directly on the plan button. Eligibility is determined by the App Store.

Through your Apple ID subscription settings, the same as any other App Store subscription. We cannot cancel it for you, and neither can anyone else — that is how App Store billing works.

The app is designed around release, and nothing about the format gives you a reason to keep a fish. Whether you keep a legal fish is between you and your state regulations, but no tournament here requires it and no scoring benefits from it.

As little as possible, and under about fifteen seconds as a working target. Trout, bonefish and speckled trout are especially sensitive. Every species guide on this site has a handling section with the specifics for that fish.

They are your responsibility, and they vary by state, by province and often by individual body of water. We deliberately do not restate seasons, slot limits or bag limits anywhere on this site, because they change and a stale number is worse than no number. Check with your state or provincial fish and wildlife agency.

Account details, your catches and their metadata (measurement, species, photo, GPS location, weather), and standard analytics. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Your catches appear in the public feed and in tournament standings. Treat any location you log as something other anglers may see, and use custom tournament boundaries rather than public feeds if you want to keep a spot quiet.
